I have decided this year to do something different for Valentine's Day. I am going to do something loving for Ed for the next 7 days up to Valentines Day to show him that he isn't forgotten. I say forgotten because it is so easy to take a spouse for granted. Sure, he knows I love him but he is also usually on the sidelines of attention. When children come along the husband is someone working their butt off to pay for Pampers, formula, stitches, etc.

Ed typically works 10 hour days with Saturdays scheduled most of the time. When he comes home there are things to be done that daddy's do, usually something to do with things being broke or flooding. He also is Young Men's President and has meetings and activities intermingled with his crazy schedule. The amazing thing is, is that he never takes his hard days out on me. He always asks me how my day went and how John is doing. He is a great person and I think he deserves getting a little extra attention.
We surprised Ed with a cupcake and a little card that says You take the Cake Valentine! I think he liked it! :)
Little man got his cupcake too(and another and then wanted ANOTHER!).
