Memorial Day
My family celebrates Memorial Day a little differently than some. We have no relatives (that we are aware of) that died in any war or while on active duty. So instead we think and remember our loved ones who have passed away and the contribution they had in our lives. We also have respect and adoration toward the fallen heros of past wars and the present one. Last night we watched the PBS Memorial Day special. It was absolutely heart wrenching and heart warming. I have such love and compassion toward the widows and widowers of those who lost their lives in a war. This life is a war in itself sometimes. Some of us get cancer or have a stroke or diseases that cause us to have to fight for our lives and/or to stay brave til the end. If that isn't a war then I don't know what is. My deceased loved ones all fought a brave battle. They all lived their lives for their children and spouses and God. But the war ended when it took their life. Their battle was over. They fought a good fight. They looked to the bright light and found home. They are my heros.
